Concept Repository
The concept repository (core) has been (and still is) part of the
sapience project.
core comprises a lightweight and easily extensible wrapper for the high-performant
Sesame repository. We had the following goals in mind during the implementation:
- full REST-based implementation, using the complete HTTP operations stack to manage and access RDF-based vocabularies.
- flexible handling of URIs identifying entities (allowing different kinds of encodings)
- context-awareness by making use of the dc:subject property (supporting different, domain-dependent perspectives on the entities)
- consistency-checks, making sure that all internal and outgoing links point to other valid RDF-encoded entities
The source code of the ongoing implementation for the release v2 is available from the
sapience repository (Apache 2.0 license).
