PURPOSE Distance is a Windows-based computer package that allows you to design and analyze distance sampling surveys of wildlife populations
FUNCTIONS Analysis of distance sampling methods for estimating density and abundance of biological populations. It covers both line transect and point transect (variable circular plot) methods as well as methods such as cue counts and trapping webs.
