Live Tracking with Sensor Observation Service


This App called Tracker sends in regular/configurable intervals the location (determine by network or GPS). It is possible to append additional measurements which will be delivered to the SOS service. As information channel there are three options:

  • transactional profil of the SOS
  • insertResult request used by the SOS
  • SensorBus

To see the map you have to add the map key in /res/layout/main.xml

What could be done to improve the app?

  • make it international (now only in german)
  • use open source map library
  • add the hard coded configurations to the preference menu
  • apply AndroidDevelopmentGuidelines
